I find I have to slide my support hand back and manipulate the slide release that way, but at least I have good control with the pistol-grip stock. This is probably my only gripe about this shotgun, because the button is tiny, hard to detect by touch, and in a crummy location. The slide lock is located on the left side of the trigger guard behind the trigger. The trigger assembly is housed in a polymer trigger guard with a typical cross-bolt safety located in the forward part of the guard. Guess they didn't want it blowing apart!!! The bolt is crazy strong lockup, having a rotary head with four big lugs. The receiver is metal and has a metal shell elevator and a stainless bolt. It is chambered for 2¾- and 3-inch shells, loads from the bottom and ejects to the right. This is a black finished shotgun with ghost-ring sights and a polymer pistol-grip stock. They are Chinese-made, and it's unfortunate we can't get USA made stuff at the competitive price that gunmakers in Turkey, the Philippine's, and China can put them out at, but it is what it is. Pretty sure those sales associates went home and had a stiff drink that day.I sure would have!!Īnyway I am not a hunter and I'd been looking for a scattergun for home defense for awhile and when I handled this at the sales counter I was sold.

Man, there were three long lines of buyers and you may recall reading Christmas 2016 was the year gun buyers bought enough guns to arm every man and woman in the United States Marine Corps. I think out the door it came in around 250 bucks with tax and fees.Īctually I was planning to buy a Mossberg MAVERICK, but they were already sold out.

They were priced at $199.00 at #'S SPORTING GOODS and they gave you several boxes of FEDERAL buckshot to sweeten the deal. During the Holidays I picked up a SAVAGE-STEVENS Model 320 Personal Defense Shotgun on BLACK FRIDAY sale.
